Why It Won Our Review

When we tested portable charcoal grills, the Everdure CUBE had a lot going for it. Its coated steel body is lightweight and easy to clean, and it also comes in five different colors: matte black, graphite, khaki, orange, and stone. The bamboo lid doubles as a cutting board in a pinch, and a storage tray underneath helps transport your food to your picnic blanket. Though its cooking surface is on the smaller side, it’s got room to cook two steaks, four burgers, or a handful of sausages—perfect for two people. In our tests, it seared off brats and burgers nicely and left deep grill marks on corn during our testing, matching its performance to its aesthetics. And at around the size of a small drinks cooler, the CUBE is easy to bring to the beach or a park. Now that it’s almost 40% off, you can snag this sale just in time for Labor Day and all the outdoor cooking it entails.

FAQs

What kind of charcoal do you use with the Everdure CUBE?

The Everdure CUBE can use either lump charcoal or charcoal briquettes. Lump charcoal tends to burn hotter than briquettes, however, so keep that in mind when planning which type of charcoal to buy.

How much charcoal can the Everdure CUBE hold?

The Everdure CUBE can hold around a pound of lump charcoal, which rests on its raised charcoal grate for airflow, and a black enamel ash tray for easy cleanup. Since it’s a smaller grill, it's recommended to not overload it with charcoal, which can quickly burn the food you’re trying to cook and potentially damage the grill’s interior.
