Grilled Peaches

Grilled peaches are one of my favorite ways to turn ripe summer fruit into an easy dessert. The grill brings out their natural sweetness and adds just a little smoky flavor. Serve them warm with vanilla ice cream for a simple treat that feels extra special.

The Sweetest Reasons to Fire Up the Grill

  • Quick and Easy: They take only a few minutes on the grill and require just a handful of ingredients.
  • Naturally Sweet: Grilling makes ripe peaches even juicier and sweeter with delicious caramelized edges.
  • Easy to Serve: Enjoy them on their own or add ice cream, whipped cream, granola, or honey.

Ingredients Needed for Grilled Peaches

Overhead shot of labeled ingredients.
  • Peach: Fresh RIPE peaches are a must!
  • Butter: Olive oil is a great alternative.
  • Salt: Just a touch of salt to enhance the sweetness.
  • Nutmeg: This is optional but adds a delicious fall spice flavor!

How to Make Grilled Peaches

These grilled peaches are so simple to make. The biggest key is starting with peaches that are ripe but still firm enough to hold their shape on the grill. If you love all things peaches, make my glazed peach bread, peach chicken or peach cobbler as well!

  1. Prep: Oil the grill grates well, then preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pits.
  2. Brush with Butter: Brush the cut side of the peaches with melted butter.
  3. Cook: Place the peaches cut side down on the grill and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until grill marks form.
  4. Mix the Sugar Topping: Stir together the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a small bowl. Flip the peaches over, then sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture. Cover and cook for about 2 minutes, until the sugar melts into a glaze. Remove from the grill, then serve the grilled peaches warm with vanilla ice cream.

Alyssa’s Grilled Peaches Tip

  1. Oil the Grates: Whichever grill you use, make sure to oil the grates well before grilling! This helps prevent the peaches from sticking.
  2. Heat: Use a medium-high heat to get perfect grill marks.
  3. Don’t Flip too Early: Give the peaches time to get golden before flipping them! If you move them too much, the peaches will get mushy.

Must Have Tools For This Recipe

  • Grill Pan or Grill: Gives the peaches those beautiful char marks and caramelized edges.
  • Tongs: Makes it easy to flip the peaches without damaging them.
  • Basting Brush: Helps evenly coat the peaches with melted butter.
